During the first quarter of 2025, the film and television app market on iOS in Europe showcased dynamic trends. According to Sensor Tower, here’s how the top five apps performed.

Netflix experienced a steady revenue increase, peaking at around $914K in late February. Downloads began the quarter strong at over 500K but saw a decline, stabilizing around 200K by the end of March. The app maintained a significant user base, despite a gradual drop from 19.7M to 16.2M active users.

Amazon Prime Video maintained robust revenue, with a peak of approximately $1.56M towards the end of February. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 461K before settling near 197K. Active users showed resilience, peaking at 4.4M in mid-March but closing the quarter at 3.7M.

Disney+ led the revenue charts, reaching a high of $5M at the end of March. Downloads varied, dropping to 171K after peaking at 265K in early March. Active users saw an increase mid-quarter, reaching over 7.1M before ending at 6.5M.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies showed a revenue spike, climbing to $1.77M by March's end. Downloads decreased over the quarter, from 161K to 81K. Active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining around 1.5M.

VK Video: shows, films, series did not generate revenue but remained active in downloads, which started at 153K and decreased to 77K. Active users steadily increased, peaking at over 913K in mid-March.
